Solutions

so·lu·tion(səlōō'shən) n. 1.a. The method or process of solving a problem. b. The answer to or disposition of a problem. 2. The IT marketing buzzword of the 21st century.

The 21st century campus is a complex organization comprised of people, processes and technology. Within this complex enterprise are a variety of competing priorities including pedagogy, student life, alumni involvement, business operations and techno-physical infrastructure. In order to stay competitive, offer new and better services, and to find more efficient ways of doing work, this dynamic and vibrant campus enterprise increasingly turns to technology solutions.

IT Services offers solutions development, management and implementation as part of its suite of services. It is increasingly acknowledged in both the public and private sectors that the core competency of IT is the delivery of solutions based on deep institutional knowledge coupled with a high degree of technical expertise. IT Services meets this challenge by offering an experienced pool of solutions analysts who architect enterprise solutions, and by navigating the highly complex higher education environment to keep the enterprise on course.

Emerging technologies are keys to the success of the 21st century campus. IT Services solutions orientation provides the innovation, integration and service mentality needed to leverage these technologies and position HWS competitively for the present and the future.
