Ask IT Services a question or open a service request by filling out this form. If you’re not sure what to ask for, please describe the problem and ask for help.
Service requests may include diagnosing or fixing a problem with a computer or telephone, installing software, setting up AV equipment, starting telephone/voicemail service, accessing Blackboard, training faculty and staff, and solving problems related to information workflow.
The service request process
When you fill out this form, an e-mail is sent to the help desk. A help desk staff member opens a service request by entering the information into a database system. The service request is then routed to the appropriate IT Services staff member. A member of the staff will e-mail you with the number of your service request, so you can follow its progress. When the issue is resolved you will receive an e-mail to tell you the request is being closed.
Checking and Closing a Service Request
You may check the status of all your service requests by using the Service Request Dashboard. You will be asked to log in with your HWS username and password.
If the request has been completed or the problem has been resolved (and you have not received an e-mail from an IT Services staff member confirming that the service request will be closed), please e-mail helpdesk@hws.edu so the work order will be closed.

Please use this form to open an IT service request. Phone and Classroom and Event Support related service requests should also be made using this form.
