Roderic H. Ross

A native of Jamestown, Roderic H. Ross attended Mayville High School and Hobart College from which he graduated as a member of the class of 1952.

From 1952-54 Ross served in the U.S. Army in Korea and received the Commendation Ribbon with Medal Pendant and the Republic of Korea Unit Citation.
He joined the Philadelphia Life Insurance Company as a member of the public relations department in the 1954, transferring to the groups department a year later and becoming in, 1957, a field representative. In 1970 he was made executive assistant to the chairman of Philadelphia Life, and tow years later was appointed senior vice president for marketing, Form April to present, he has served as president of the company.

Mr. Ross also serves as a director for Philadelphia Life Asset Management Co. the Provident National Bank, and the Hunt Manufacturing Co. He is vice chairman of the Insurance Federation of Pennsylvania.

Among his civic activist and recognition, Mr. Ross has been a vestryman a St. David's Church, Radnor: he has been a director of the Upper Main Line Y.M.C.A. and community center; and he vice chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

He and his Wife, Patricia Johnson Ross '53 are parents of four children.
