Positions Available:

Intramural Coordinator (for most intramural leagues)

  • The Intramural Coordinator is involved in all aspects of the intramural program, including planning, scheduling, hiring and training referees, and promotion of events. This "hands on" position also requires assisting with equipment management and purchasing.
  • Intramural Coordinators are generally required to work 3-8 hours per week at a rate of $ 7.65 per hour. There are two positions available.
  • Required attributes include previous experience playing or planning athletic events, and having refereeing experience. Also, coordinators are required to be computer literate.
  • Desired personality traits include: outgoing, thorough, reliable and dependable. Good communication, time management skills, and CPR training, although not required, are sought after.

Intramural Referee (for most intramural events)

  • The Referee is charged with maintaining control over the players and game, making judgment calls when necessary and acting as the overall authority on the field or court.
  • Referees are generally required to work 1-15 hours per week (Varies on demand) at a pay rate of $7.15 per hour (2 hours credited for each game worked).
  • Required attributes include organized playing experience with the selected sport
  • Desired attributes included previous refereeing experience, ability to remain calm in difficult situations, and CPR certification.
