Varsity House, the Dr. Frank P. Smith '36 Squash Center
was dedicated on Oct. 3, 1998. Home of the Hobart
and William
Smith squash programs, the five international courts
reflect the commitment of Hobart and William Smith to
the future of the game.
The new courts are wider — 21 feet for international play
as opposed to 18.5 feet for the hardball game. The Colleges
switched to the international, or English style of squash
because the National Intercollegiate Squash Racquets Association
(NISRA) has made that the standard for intercollegiate play. |
