Call for Papers

2008 NEASECS Conference
Hobart and William Smith Colleges
Geneva, NY
Oct. 30- Nov. 2, 2008
http://web.hws.edu/neasecs/

Proposals for papers should be sent directly to the seminar chairs no later than 01 April 2008.  Please include your telephone and fax numbers and email address.  You should also let the session chair know of any audio-visual needs.  We actively encourage presentations by younger and untenured scholars.

Seminar chairs are reminded that all papers received up to the deadline should be considered.  Please do not announce that the panel is closed prior to the 01 April deadline.  Chairs have until 15 April to send the names of participants, their email addresses and the titles of their papers to the NEASECS Program Committee Chair (gallouet@hws.edu, fax: 315-781-3822).

NEASECS follow ASECS rules that permit members to present only one paper at the meeting.  Members may, in addition to presenting a paper, serve as a session chair, a respondent, or a panel discussant, but they may not present a paper in those sessions they also chair.

Please be reminded that if you submit a paper proposal to more than one session, you should notify all the chairs to which you have made a submission.  If you fail to notify the session chairs, they will have the right to decide between themselves in which session the paper will be presented or if the paper will be excluded entirely.

The Conference Committee also cordially invites paper submissions that address any area of eighteenth-century studies.  Send your submissions to Catherine Gallouët (gallouet@hws.edu) no later than April 1st.

Participants in NEASECS sessions must be NEASECS members.
