Ecstasy

Ecstasy is a synthetic, psychoactive or mind-altering drug with hallucinogenic and amphetamine-like properties. Many problems are associated with the use of Ecstasy. The psychological difficulties include confusion, depression, sleep problems, drug craving, severe anxiety, paranoia, and psychotic episodes. These psychological difficulties can occur during use or weeks after taking Ecstasy. Physical symptoms such as muscle tension, involuntary teeth-clenching, nausea, blurred vision, rapid eye movement, faintness, and chills or sweating are the result of using Ecstasy. Ecstasy has also been associated with increases in heart rate and blood pressure, which is a special risk for people with circulatory or heart disease.
