Rohypnol

Rohypnol, also known as "rophies," "roofies," "roach," "rope," and the "date rape" drug, produces sedative-hypnotic effects including muscle relaxation and amnesia. Over the past few years, colleges and universities have been concerned that students may unknowingly have been given the drug which, when mixed with alcohol, can incapacitate the victims and prevent them from resisting sexual assault. Rohypnol can produce physical and psychological dependence. It can also be lethal when mixed with alcohol and/or other depressants.
